Owner Darrell Reese is a happily married man, a father of 3 children, he brings 5
generations of knowledge, wisdom, and experienced craftsmanship to Global Hardwood
Flooring, for 35 years starting early as a child going to work with his grandfather and
Dad, during hot summer school breaks learning the business from the floor up, installing,
sanding, and finishing hardwood flooring for the family business, eventually growing a
passion for the hardwood flooring business, in 1980 Darrell opened his first hardwood
flooring company, working hard and building the business, in 1995 Darrell introduced his
invention to the flooring industry, with wife Alicia they both manufactured and marketed
this product and introduced it at the flooring convention Surfaces, in 1996 Darrell was
awarded a United States Patent by the United States Commissioner of patents and
trademarks and to this day the product is still being manufactured worldwide and is used
in the flooring industry,

early start in the flooring business, Darrell has acquired partnerships with over 25
national flooring manufactures, he procures all timber and lumber used in the
manufacturing process with over 75 national mills using only the best Appalachian
